Plaid is ambitious for Wales. We are leading a new Economic Renewal Programme and taking our nation in a new direction. We know that economic development has to change to adapt to a changing economic situation. Our aim is to establish a renewed approach to economic development in Wales which will make our nation one of the best places in the world to live and to work.
Our new approach sets out a clear defined role for devolved government. We will make the most of the limited powers we have to create the right environment to encourage entrepreneurship allowing the private sector to flourish rather than directly deliver support to individual businesses. Our plan is already investing in high-quality and sustainable infrastructure. It will make Wales a more attractive place to do business; it will encourage our skills base; it will encourage innovation and it will target government business support.
